I hate that there is now the witch part to the series. It just takes away from the entire series in my opinion and I didn't bother to read the spell parts. Besides that, I really liked the book.

Better than the previous, Sydney opens up more and the mysteries continue to be interesting. Do not read this series if you have any body image issues or issues with weight as the MC has very bad relationship with that topic.

I like the Sydney character a lot, but the plot was a little heavy handed with the obvious connections that took the protagonist by surprise.

Just so freaking epic. Oh my gosh. So much better than the first one, which I thought was pretty good to begin with. This book just kept me flipping pages. I'm not a car reader, and I read throughout almost and entire 1 hour & 1/2 bus ride. It's that good.
