Awesome! I CANNOT WAIT FOR MEAD'S NEXT BLOODLINES BOOK!!!!!!
I think I'm really starting to love this series. I loved this book even more than the first one which gives me high hopes for this entire series. This book had more of Sydney's struggle as an Achlemyst and as part of her cohort of vampires. That last chapter? Holy meatballs. I sat there gaping at the last page for what seemed like hours. All I could think was... No I won't tell you what I thought - that will just give away what happened! It was definitely one of the high points in the book let me tell you.
So anyway. This book also showed what a demanding and controlling job being an Achlemyst is. Whenever Sydney went out with Brayden, they were interupted by a 'family emergency'. The.

So I don't really like Adrian, so I haven't really wanted to read it. I just don't like him. So I forced myself to read it. And boy am I glad I did. Seriously. Richelle Mead did it again! :)
So I won this book from here as an ARC forever ago and just now saw that for some crazy reason my review that I wrote did not save, grrr technology. I will be honest and say that I am a die hard VA fan so it is taking me a bit to get into this series but I will say it is growing on me.
So on to Sydney and Adrian, well In the VA series and Bloodlines Sydney just kind of got on my nerves a bit. Yeah it was the whole kind of close minded thing and being snotty in a way I guess, but alas she loosened up some and is finally taking matters into her own hands.(At times she still annoys me tho) Oh and poor Adrian he is trying to hard to woo this blind girl I just want o hug him, so did you hear that Adrian, I will hug you! But don't worry Dimitri, I will only hug him. I am a little sad that the build up to all the action took so long, maybe it's because I keep having a hard time separating this series from VA, shame on me. But yeah the action kicked in and I was all like "ohhhh yeah, here we go". So overall I liked this book better than the first and will eventually read the newest one. And maybe by then I can let go of Rose and Dimitri, although I seriously doubt it. Can't wait for the next book.

Adrian is just so sweet and protective I just wanna cuddle the heck out of him after that ending!
I was so happy when Brayden broke up with Sydney her reaction was so funny seriously.
And Eddie and Jill the complication between them is so sad and frustrating.
And Trey I'm so glad he is out of that organization and I hope he doesn't get back in 'cause he's such a lovable character.
I completely loved this book and I can't wait until I can get my hands on the next one!
