I really didnt like the main character in this one but I think that was the point - she gets better in the next books.

It's not the book, it's me. I think I just don't like fae books that much.

This was a slow read for me. I didn't much identify with our pink clad, spoiled heroine, Mac. She had a few funny moments, but other than that, I was underwhelmed. I didn't really catch Jericho fever either. But I hear this book is a set-up for the rest of the series and that it gets better from here so I'll give the next one a go.

The main character is annoying AF and I don't get what the deal with Jericho is....

My sweet friend has been recommending this book for years and I finally got a chance to read it~ mood reader problems lol.

I loved the Buffy the Vampire Slayer nostalgia of this read. We follow the FMC as she travels to Ireland to find out who murdered her sister and why. Mac is out of place in more ways than one and it provides an entertaining backdrop as she tries to finagle learning about the unseen and dark world while she also tries to maintain her nails and deal with changing her hair and style. And nothing like learning about the death by sex fae. I’ll definitely be reading the next one. Thanks Bex!

I gave up after the first half dozen pages. The character descriptions are straight forward, boring, and offer no insight as to why I should care to read her story. There's nothing to capture the reader, and with so many better books out there, I wasn't going to waste time reading this one.

Not for me.

I feel like this was written in a very YA tone and had random X material that felt SO out of place. The "slow burn" was absolutely non existent and you could not pay me to believe that Mac and Barrons have any chemistry. The constant use of unnecessary detail of her appearance dates the book almost as awfully as the current event references of the time the book was written, it did not age well and really took me out of the book. The majority of 'plot twists' were unnecessary and didn't add anything to the story line.

I read this book as a buddy read for a friend and will not be reading another in this series.

Sat down and re-read this in one afternoon! Looking forward to the release of the final book in the series later this month! It was great to catch up with Mac and Barrons again! I've missed them!

3.5/5 this is not a good book and also one of the best books i’ve read. twilight if it was good. need jericho badly. and an urban fantasy that doesn’t make me feel like a complete idiot with world building. SO MUCH FUN
