Special thanks to the author for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Aah, I had such a fun time with this read! I can't remember the last time I read a popular girl + nerdy guy combo but... I need MORE, ASAP! The way Freddie was a simp for Cami had me swoon crying in all my single feels and I just??

Yes to all that delicious build-up!! I loved all the small touches, longing glances, flirty banter and awkward moments between Cami and Freddie.

This is a perfectly done opposites-attract, cool girl/ nerdy boy romance. There was a lack of communication at times, but with all the insecurities and baggage that they both had it actually made sense and didn't bother me at .

Both Cami and Freddie had to deal with some drama that came in the form of someone in a position of power. For her it was her coach, and for him his father. But it was dealt with so well on both sides. And it gave both of them a reason to grow and stand up for themselves.

I loved this book, loved this couple and I hope we get more from this series.

Cami is beautiful and confident, and is used to other people making snap judgements about her. None of these judgements rankle her quite as much as when they come from Freddie, close friend of her twin sister’s boyfriend, who is shy and reserved. But when Freddie and Cami end up living in a co-ed dorm, they find themselves running into each other more and more, and start to see a side of each other they never expected.

This was a lovely book. It’s very readable and engaging and I could happily have read it in one sitting. I loved Cami - she was such a fun heroine and I loved her bossiness and confidence contrasted with moments of real vulnerability. Freddie was a real sweetie of a hero - he’s not completely my kind of hero but I liked how he was with Cami and I thought their romance was great. It was really sweet as well as being very sexy - they had a delicious chemistry and I really enjoyed how their romance developed and how it played out over the course of the book.

However, I have to say that the external plot did nothing for me - I appreciated how their issues with relationships affected their romance, I thought that was well done, but the actual content of the external plot didn’t interest me. I thought Freddie’s conflict over his future wasn’t as well-seeded as it could have been - the heaviness and weight of his decision felt a bit packed into the ending. I also didn’t really get the subplot with Cami’s dance team - it felt very overblown for me.

But based off the romance, this was really solid and I had a fun time reading it. Cami and Freddie were a lovely couple and I really liked seeing how they grew closer - I just wasn’t so interested in a lot of the stuff around it, but it didn’t detract too much from my overall enjoyment.

Content Notes: Popular girl x nerdy boy, hate to love, opposites attract, college.
