Book 2 in the Central State series is all about Cami, who we kind of hated from book 1. Don’t worry Cami is redeemed in this opposites attract romance. Freddie is a quiet, studious introvert who can’t imagine a universe where Cami would be into him. Cami is a misunderstood outgoing dancer trying to changer her image who thinks she isn’t good enough for Freddie.

I am so thankful to have been able to read this book early and can’t wait for more books to release in this series!

Such a good easy read! Cami is a dancer, more than that dancing is her life. But in her senior year of college the year is not out to a good start when the things she has been looking forward too, don’t end up happening the way she was hoping.
Now she is loving next door to a guy she thought hated her, and he thought she was shallower than a kiddie pool. But as they spend more time together they realise maybe their first assumptions weren’t completely right.

I am obsessed with this story, was so hooked from the first chapter! I would of finished it within a few hours if I didn’t have to work! Cami is insecure about letting people know who she really is and Freddie is really the first person to accept her wholly. Freddie on the other hand is straight lines to her wild and crazy, but Cami brings a sense of excitement to his life by pushing him out of his comfort zone. The two of them bring out a better person in the other.

Now I’m my opinion it’s a slow burn. It takes about a third of the book for them to be like okay yeah I like this person in a non-friendly way. Then, there’s a lot of sexual tension. Which starts from the beginning of the book. Where you want to scream at them to just give in already!

For such a quick and easy read *chefs kiss* it was perfect for the mood I was in. The only thing is, it took too long with the sexual tension, it was killing me. And the torture when things went wrong

Cami was the villian in the first book, and I love how the author took that and made Cami misunderstood. I loved that take because it gave Cami dimension and showed how she was a fighter but still had some hard time with vulnerability. Freddie was the perfect guy for her because he was stability. Cami needed a calming force to keep her grounded when life got crazy and honestly Freddie needed Cami’s bright and bold spirit to bring him out to enjoy more of life. These two were amazing and I loved their relationship in the book!

three stars! ⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ there is a lot of making out happening where the characters keep their eyes open and it is… a choice for sure.

anyways, kinda ran into the same issues with this book as the first- writing was meh, characters were meh, plotline was eh. i liked freddie’s character but he was such a pushover tbh. and i really didn’t understand cami’s whole “i’m gonna let everyone just think i’m this dumb blonde ice queen bc it’s easier and then get upset when someone thinks i’m a dumb blonde ice queen” thing…. like girl. you really played yourself. i understand where she was coming from to a degree but it just got annoying real quick. overall not the worst book but not really anything special either, imo!

It’s the way I would not be shocked if the campus in this book is actually based off Purdue with the tunnels aspect and being 3 hours south of Chicago and one of the main characters is an engineering major. 3.5 stars because some of the writing could have used more editing and better wording but the sex scenes were top knotch.
