This book was fine it just felt uneventful and boring to me. They were a cute couple but it wasn’t an interesting read

It was a cute read. But as I said in the other books it has errors from lack of editing.

Part of me was excited for a role reversal with the mmc being the nerdy relationship type while the female mmc is the popular ‘slutty’ athlete. However it’s revealed that she’s ‘hooked up with a handful of guys’, given a handful is 5 and these types of novels usually define a ‘male slut’ as having countless partners it ultimately still portrays a double standard. A slutty mmc can be redeemable with a deeper personality, but this female’s redemption is that she just lets people think inaccurate things about her and flirts as a defence mechanism, when she isn’t actually a ‘sl*t’ at all by romance book standards.

Also a completely personal take but the description of the MMC reminded me of my BIL so I couldn’t get in the feels.

I loved everything about Cami and Freddie’s love story. Their insecurities and vulnerabilities were genuine and I was invested in their emotional journey. It was sweet and funny and their chemistry was undeniable. They’re the kind of characters you fall in love with and can’t help rooting for their happily ever after.

I loved this one so much more than the puck drop. I just loved Cami and Freddie's friendship and their eventual relationship. Cami is just adorable and I want her to be happy forever.

The entire time I read this book all I could think in my head was Daniella seeing Cami and Freddie together in book #3 and screaming “Freddie who’s good in bed-ie” and I couldn’t get that image out of my head

I think my expectations were too high with this one, and I think I'm being generous with the 3 stars.

There were many things that annoyed me. One of the things that I absolutely hate it when someone does something just because their parents want them to. I can't stand it. And Freddy was a classic example of that. The whole conflict in the book was that he couldn't grow up and tell his parents what he wanted, and that really annoyed me.

He was also extremely insecure, and I understand why and his ex was a bitch, but when in pretty much every single chapter he was assuming what Cami thought about him, it got really fucking tiring. You'd assume that after like the fourth time he would give her the benefit of the doubt but nop. Pay therapy, please.

Eventually, I got bored with the drama and I skipped the last chapters ups. Idk, I was just disappointed.
