For a stand-alone it was pretty slow burn. I love that stuff but a dancer falling for a nerd was just the cutest thing ever. Tie that in with a second chance romance all built on the angst from miscommunication & it was really a great loving story!!

At the beginning I had no idea whether I was going to like this or not but I did end up liking it but I wasn't completely invested in them. There were a few things that didn't make sense to me. But they were still so cute. They had a misunderstanding at the beginning bit once that was resolved and started being friends, peeling off those layers, getting to know each other they liking each other and breaking each other's 'rule'. The skittles thing was so sweet and cute

honestly i was a little nervous at the start of this book because i liked the puck drop so much and i had high expectations. i also was a little weary on the fact if i would like cami and freddie.

safe to say, it lived up to my expectations AND i loved cami and freddie WAYY more than i anticipated.

love love loved them together and as a couple. i loved the dual pov (as always) and thought the difference in their povs was very well done. ugh i just love this series, okay?

again i loved the bonus chapter, and i can't wait to start take the lead next.

another 5/5 from me :)

Special thanks to the author for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Aah, I had such a fun time with this read! I can't remember the last time I read a popular girl + nerdy guy combo but... I need MORE, ASAP! The way Freddie was a simp for Cami had me swoon crying in all my single feels and I just??

Okay, wow! This series is such an underrated gem! From the Top has to be my favorite so far and a new favorite new adult romance novel!

I had so many favorite parts in this book, but one of my top favorites is… Well, I guess you should read it for yourself:

“You brought a bag of yellow Skittles? For me?” she asked, breaking the weird trance she put me in by just being here. “Shut the fuck up.”

“I didn’t buy a bag of them. I couldn’t find just yellow, but I sorted them out of this one.” I held up an extra-large bag that I set against my leg and wiggled it.

“You sorted out hundreds of them because they’re my favorite.”
