this one is for the wattpad girlies, and i say that with absolute affection as a wattpad girlie. it hit the self-indulgent wish fulfillment spot. as others have mentioned there are lots of parallels with the premise of the feral souls and bound spirit series, but the execution is different, and i love these tropes so enjoyed reading a different take on them.

Way too much going on that is not executed well. Adding in a random wolf shifter mate at the end seemed very unnecessary and confusing. Too many mates to keep up with and the shifterverse seems very confusing and blurred on if it's secret from humans or not. DNF for the series unfortunately.

I liked the story. Only thing that was not for me was the description of what she is wearing every time. But I'm just not that interested in fashion I guess. Also, is it just me or are there a lot of ... as ... sentences for example; I screamed as he called me name. Something feels of about how it is used, but my knowledge in English grammar isn't that good

There are very dark themes within the book but the mfc is so positive and strong through it. I will say that I thought the trust was waayy to easily given by her considering everything but I think that was supposed to show another side to her naivety and connections. I did love the way her naive nature was shown. Wasn't too much, perfect balance. That and the mfc was so damn smart. Loved all of that. Overall cute read and excited to see where the next book goes

Very similar concept as the Phoenix Rising series. Crazy insta-love and not a lot of actual plot. The focus is on the relationships. For a main character with a very traumatic past, I found that Maya just wasn’t very believable. I’d expect at least some PTSD or even difficulty meeting people since she has only met 3 people in her entire 18 years until this book starts... but nope. Idk it just felt flimsy because the author was trying to fit too much relationship development into the book there wasn’t room for anything else.

Not amazing, not terrible. Definitely some grammar issues to be cleared up.
