I am giving it only 3 stars because I can't give a .5, some of the stories I found just not interesting, other's I found very interesting but too short. I was hoping to be hones that the story that was called : The Call of Cthulhu be longer then what it was. Maybe in other books it is but it felt short and felt to me like it was lacking something( what that something is I am not sure at the moment). Maybe if I reread the book I might have a different out look on the book. I don't know what it was but once I figure it out I will update this post.

კარგია, მაგრამ ასე 20 წლამდე ასაკში წაკითხვის შემთხვევაში ალბათ გენიალურიც კი იქნებოდა.. და თან XX საუკუნის 30-იან წლებში რომ წამეკითხა ან კტულჰუს კულტის მოძღვარი გავხდებოდი, ან მთელი ცხოვრება შიშში ვიცხოვრებდი :)
თუმცა, რადგან ემოციების ამპლიტუდა აღარ მაქვს ისეთი ფართო როგორც მოზარდობისას, ობიექტურად მოთხრობები (აქ 3 იყო) ცოტა ერთფეროვანია, ერთი და იგივე ფაბულა აქვთ, მაგრად იწყება, მაგრამ ერთი თუ გაქვს წაკითხული ყველას გაგრძელება და დასასრული თავიდანვე იცი. ასევე აქ კია ძალიან ბევრი ერუდიცია, მაგრამ მაინც არაბუნებრივად მარტივია ყველაფერი (ხანდახან პრიმიტიული კი) და კითხვისას სულ ჩამესმოდა სიტყვები "ამერიკული ლიტერატურა, ამერიკული ლიტერატურა, ამერიკული ლიტერატურა..."

This is my favorite kind of horror. It doesn't rely on gore to make it scary, but instead plays into the inherent human fear of the unknown (I guess this is just the definition of lovecraftian horror). I know I'm just reiterating what's already been said a hundred times, but god it works well because the horror never feels overdone or gratuitous, which I appreciate.

Should have just DNF'd
A good narration, but I'm finding I'm just not a fan of Lovecraft's style of writing. The stories are so passive and so centered on second hand accounts that it was very hard for my attention not to wander. I could never quite bring myself to be interested in anything that was happening.
