One Plus One Equals Three: A Masterclass in Creative Thinking by Dave Trott

An interesting collection of stories and annecdotes collected around themes that broadly support the idea of thinking creatively and independently. Trott writes in a sparing and machine gun style style that falls somewhere between Earnest Hemmingway and Christopher Walken, it's a bit odd but I quite liked it once I'd tuned into it, though it might not be to everyone's taste. The stories he tells are organised into chapters which collect them into themes but the book lacks a unifying narrative to pull it all together, so it feels a bit unstructured and aimless but entertaining nonetheless.

I really liked this book! Lauren read it for her advertising class and recommended it to me. A collection of snippets recounting times people made changes to better serve them and their community.
