I genuinely don't know what to say about this book. The writing was all right but I don't really know what it was trying to do? There seemed to be a lot of buildup with June as a child but there was some lacking worldbuilding and although it was quite a quick read, at times it dragged. Love the cover. I liked the descriptions of space and June's clever mind, but in the end I was deflated as the book didn't seem to come to anything.

kinda got bored tbh

I liked the beginning part of this book more than I liked the end, and two weeks later most of my thoughts are confusion about why the relationships were handled the way they were, and I've forgotten most of the rest of it. Not a hit, but it had its moments.

I really enjoyed this novel. It was like a mix of The Martian and Jane Eyre, which I didn't expect, but it was definitely interesting. The ending is vague, which I usually dislike, but this time it really has me thinking and has made the story stick with me days after finishing it.
