Another amazing read from Kristen!

Skyla leaves her life in New York when her dance career ends prematurely and to escape the obsession of a fan.  Starting over in Montana isn’t so bad when you get to spend your time with a man like Beckett Blackwell.

Beckett and Skyla are perfect together. He is a caregiver through and through with acts of service being his love language he by far excels at. She is an incredibly talented, fierce woman that thrives from Beckett’s love. Their relationship develops fast but it makes sense with how protective and devoted Beckett is.

Riley has to be one of my most favorite things from this book! The cutest and smartest dog around. His bond with Skyla is unbreakable. I love how safe he makes her feel.

I also loved the suspense (as always). I love when we get to see the POV of the villain. It adds such a cool layer to the story.

I can’t wait to see what the Blackwell have in store for us in the rest of this series!

I will tell you the way Beckett shows his love for Skyla just jumped him to the top of the book boyfriend list! I was hooked immediately! I couldn’t put it down! It was a true one sit read/listen. The audio of this one is soooo good! The narrators are amazing!! They brought so much life to these characters! They made this book so real! It truly played out like a movie in my mind! I for sure wa not ready for this book to end! However the epilogue sure got me excited for what comes next!!! I love it when a series surprises you & Book 2 is a wonderfully different feel. Still the same small town with such rich characters, this time Kristen Proby gives us a romantic suspense filled with steam, delicious tension & we get brief chapters from the villain's POV which I absolutely loved. And if you love audio, I highly recommend listening to this - our FMC Skyla is Irish & both Stephanie Nemeth-Parker & Conor Crais do amazing with Irish accents in dual narration. Stephanie Nemeth-Parker specifically really captures Skyla perfectly with a thick Irish accent that really brings her character to life.

This is Beckett Blackwell's story, the brother of Bridger from book 1. He meets former ballerina turned dance studio owner & teacher Skyla, who has come to Montana to start over, escaping a dangerous situation in New York. Beckett is a man obsessed, he sees Skyla & can't get her out of his head. Skyla, skittish to let a new man into her life, can't help her attraction. There is wonderful banter that builds on their tension. The chemistry between these two is fire & the more they fall into this steamy, swoony romance, the more I ate every moment between them up. They read romance books together & it's so perfect - I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!

This story introduces Skyla's brother to the crew & we also get a great found family from the Blackwells. Skyla fits naturally into this town & I just loved seeing her friendships grow alongside her romance with Beckett. This is just a wonderful small town romance & series I'll keep going back to. Plus, the romantic suspense that unfolds brings another layer that will keep you enraptured with this story until the end. Plus the tease for Book 3 is SO GOOD!!!!

Kristen Proby's done it again! This latest Blackwells of Montana book is a total BANGER! I was glued to the pages from the very first word right up until the end.

Beckett has my heart because...wow. His love language is definitely acts of service. He was totally swoon worthy and gave me heart eyes the entire book. Skyla was definitely his perfect match, hands down. I loved them together and their chemistry was so strong I could feel it radiating off the pages.

Skyla was such a fantastic character. She was strong, brave, and totally independent. Beckett was the ultimate obsessed and protective hero. The storyline itself was great, and I really enjoyed the little threads of suspense woven throughout.

This book totally hit all my favorite tropes, plus it introduced some new little things I didn't even know I loved but am now completely obsessed with! I absolutely LOVED the found family vibes. It was heartwarming and made my heart so happy.

Honestly, this book was just beautiful. It made me feel all the feels. Now I'm just counting down the days until the next one in the series!

Thank you so much to Kristen Proby and Valentine PR for an ARC of this book. I voluntarily read and gave an honest review.

Blackwells of Montana book number 2. This was a cute listen. I thought the narrators, Connor Crais & Stephanie Nemeth-Parker did a great job!

Beckett and Skyla’s story was full of spice, tension, drama, and love. Their story was legit. Beckett was a protector and obsessed with Skyla. All he wanted to do was make her feel safe, protect her, and do anything to make her happy. Skyla had a traumatic (recent) past and had good reason to fear everyday. Beckett took some of that stress off of her. He fell in love with her instantly.

Loved the small town and best friend’s brother tropes. The Irish heroine was fun (and fun accent to listen to too).

Also, can I say I was obsessed with Skyla’s dog, Riley!! I’m an animal lover and I’m here for her support animal any day! Beckett’s farm was a fun aspect too!

Beckett and Skyla just became my second favorite Kristen Proby couple!!

The tender sweetness Beckett showers Skyla with is swoon worthy and how he patiently waited for her number because he knew she was everything was perfect. Beckett saw how special Skyla was from the beginning and knew it would take time before Skyla was ready and once she gave Beckett a shot, everything fell into place. After a devastating injury and a forced early retirement from her professional dancing career, Skyla found a new purpose and a fulfilling life in Bitteroot Valley and a home with Beckett and his chickens. It’s adorable how much Skyla loves those chickens and Riley is the best boy ever.

I’m going to need another family spin off series in Bitterroot Valley because I don’t want to leave. I loved the Wild family series and I’m loving the Blackwell family series right now and we are only two books in. I’m excited for Billie’s book next because it’s going to be full of so much tension and I can’t wait to learn more about Skyla’s brother Connor.

Thanks, Kristen, for the audiobook!
Becket Blackwell has seen the beautiful redhead around town and he finally decides to ask for her number. She says no, but all good things are worth waiting for and he won't give up on the green eyed angel with the Irish accent.
Skyla is skittish for a reason. She came to Montana after her career as a prima ballerina is cut short by an injury caused by a stalker. Now, she teaches dance at her studio, always protected by her loyal dog, Riley.
When Beckett tries again, she decides to give him a chance and it all clicks. He's everything she could have hoped for in a man, if not more. She just needs to believe that they can have a forever. And hope her stalker doesn't find her.
Men of Montana, step aside because Beckett Blackwell has entered the chat and he's not playing around. How absolutely irresistible is a protective hero who washes the heroine's hair and reads her romance books? He's not even a green flag, there is no colored flag to define Beck. Skyla is also a lovely heroine. She's also the billionaire in this story but she couldn't be more down to earth. Her love for his chickens is just the cutest thing!
The audiobook is phenomenal. I literally pressed play and never stopped. Narrated (thankfully) in dual style by two amazing narrators, Stephanie Nemeth-Parker and Connor Crais, who knock it out of the park. Why thankfully, you ask? Because we get to experience not only Stephanie's impeccable Irish accent but you also get Connor's and it's SWOONY.
We also catch up with the Blackwells and quite a few of the Wilds too, which is always fun.
If you are looking for a determined ballerina who finds a hero who loves her (and her dog) fiercely, look no further. This one is perfect! All the stars!

Bitterroot Valley, Montana and we’re back and better than ever Skyla, a red-headed ballet dancer who is also Irish. She’s a heroine in hiding. Beckett Blackwell is a dairy farmer who is taken by her immediately. He cherishes her, cares for her and they are so dang perfect for each other.

There are 3 POVs in this book and the first chapter with the 3rd POV had my jaw on the floor.

Bloody brilliant.

I really loved Skyla and Beckett so much. I just love this series already. The side characters are great. Skyla is on the run, and she found her new home in Bitterroot Valley. I also really loved the moments with her service dog! I really love how Beckett was there for her from the very beginning. He is a great MMC. I really loved the plot and the suspense element, too. I can't wait for the rest of this series.
