I really enjoyed Mirka Andolfo's art, but the story kind of let the art down. If there were more, I'd read it bc I know this is just set-up, but since there isn't it just kind of left me feeling meh about it as a whole.

I really wanted to like this, the art in the first volume is fantastic and the story sounded promising. I found it fell flat somehow and I don’t really care about the characters.

There was plenty I liked about Hex Wives that left me wanting more, as the pacing felt a little mixed and the conspiracy elements felt a little dated/Stepford-y and anachronistic.

A witchy good time! I loved the art in this series and the characters were well thought out and each brought something individual to the table. I felt like the beginning started one way but then took a drastic turn but I suppose that was the point. All in all “Hex Wives: Vol. 1” was a fun read and I’m interested to see what is in store next!

Closer to 3.5

The art is truly gorgeous and deeply twisted at times. It's a very interesting idea and I'm sad that it looks like this series has turned to being just a one off. I'm always a fan of badass witchy women and the ways they fight the man to simply exist.

A bit contrived but the art is fun and I really like a couple of the characters - would definitely read volume two!
