Wow. Since I never watched iCarly or Sam and Cat I had virtually no exposure to the author until this book came out. This is definitely the type of book I’ll only get through once. When I say heartbreaking, I mean it. It is so deeply disturbing at times and upsetting all the time. But it’s also humorous. It’s a great book about not-great circumstances. Please mind the trigger warnings.

Absolutely amazing! I practically inhaled this book (well, the audio version that is). 
So much going on, so many emotions. 
I really appreciate the raw honesty with which Jennette McCurdy describes her experience and I feel like in some way or another it healed me too.

This book was heartbreaking and addictive. The patterns of abuse and manipulation deeply resonated with me. I found the exmormon element particularly relatable and it was refreshing to hear someone else have similar feelings about the religion. This book quite literally dropped my jaw at times and broke my heart constantly. I feel like it represents a huge amount of healing for Janette and it makes me hopeful that she is breaking these cycles for herself.

un libro maravilloso aunque a ratos difícil de continuar debido a los temas fuertes, tiene descripciones bien explicitas de situaciones traumáticas, pero si saben inglés recomendaría leerlo en su idioma original, ya que la traducción está hecha en españa y personalmente encontré que ciertas elecciones de traducción arruinaban el flujo de la historia, además de no acertar completamente en el tono.
