And now I have to wait until August. Great. I NEED MORE.
The ending was WAY too rushed. Aurelia does so much stuff without giving the reader time to process it or get an explanation. Most of the book is like that, just shoving information and action at you very quickly with no explanation or pause
Despite me not liking the first book I decided to continue reading the trilogy to see if it improves and because the cover of this book is really pretty.
First of all I’d say the plot twists definitely improved from the first book as I wasn’t able to predict them as much. The world building/magic was confusing from the start but got more confusing in this book. One thing that has just really annoyed me at this point is the fact that Aurelia and Zan are always on the brink of death.
Like every time Zan is on the brink of death Aurelia does everything in her power to keep him alive. At this point I think you should just accept the fact that you guys can’t be together cause he’ll get himself dead again.
Another thing that annoyed me is that Kellan got upset at Aurelia for cutting his hand off but like he told her in the first book that he knows what his getting himself into when doing the blood bounding thing so like it’s kinda his fault but at the same time I’d be mad if someone chopped my hand off without even explaining.

Honestly, I'm fluctuating between whether to rate this book 2 stars or 4 stars so I'm going to settle for 3 stars instead. The book itself was extremely hard to get through, and even though I loved Bloodleaf, I didn't enjoy Greythorne nearly as much. The characters were getting annoying and the plot simply wasn't hooking enough. However, the last few chapters were extremely interesting and made up for the entire book, hence my dilemma. It felt a little rushed for the majority of the book in my opinion. Despite this, I have high hopes for the third Ebonwilde since it's going to be the last book of the trilogy.

Read in Spanish, translated by Enrique Mercado.
This was a pretty lighthearted read. I really liked the main character, Aurelia; she’s quite funny, strong-willed, resourceful… She’s not the typical “crying all the time because of how awful my life is” kind of main character, thank god for that. She’s more of an action girl. I preferred the second book to the first one, as the first was more classic. The second one had a more original plot. I like Zan, he’s a satisfying love interest. I like him better than Kellan. It’s nice to see a love interest who’s not a strong fighter boy. I also enjoyed the magic system even if it was a bit messy, the whole blood magic is a very interesting mechanism. The flaw of the book is that it can feel rushed; it gets messy. Some parts I just didn’t understand what was going on (mainly the ending of the second book… I’m very confused). I had a good time with this read. That’s about it !
