Perfect for whiling away a rainy day. Absolutely fine book, just not one I'm all that passionate about. I especially liked when Sara used her ability to aid a victim of domestic violence. I had no problem with gay match-making; seemed suitable for NYC in the 1990s. Enjoyed the geographical place markers of NYV and the plot parallels.

Sometimes I choose to read dual timeline novels as straight timelines instead of hopping back and forth. Often, if I'm feeling blah about a reading experience, reading a timeline straight through and then going back and reading the second timeline livens the novel up. However, this book is best read as the author intended. The timelines are dovetailed and intertwined enough that the hopping between timelines enriches the experience.
