I wanted to like this, but I just couldn’t. Part of it is that horror is not for me, and this was more horror than I was anticipating. However, my main gripe is that the lore and backstory surrounding Sampson was never fleshed out and explained enough. It made things muddled and confusing and some elements of the story fall flat. It needed to be simplified.

Cool, but a little too neat and flat. Despite all the crazy supernatural stuff towards the end, it came off as pretty formulaic and predictable to me, and all the side characters seemed pretty one-dimensional as well. Love to see men getting their asses beat by a woman, but at no point was I invested enough in their evil to fully appreciate the ass whooping.

The art is dope, though.
