Once again an easy read as I figured out the killer a few pages in but still an entertaining read.
mysterious
fast-paced
In the second reading of C is for Corpse I only remembered a few of the side plots but not the main story. While Kinsey is trying to find out if her clients car wreck was really a murder attempt a skilled con artist shows up and tries to cheat her landlord Henry out of his life savings. Can Kinsey solve that and the main case?
I enjoyed this one more than the first 2, think Kinsey is getting more spunk..lol.. If possible!! Starting D now!! :)
Read this one on my travels and it was pretty good. I do like these murder mystery thrillers for long boring waits in airports and on trains as it makes the time pass so much quicker. This is the second of her alphabet murders I've read, the other one being B, and I think I preferred this one. Interesting enough story - although nothing ground breaking! - about a 20 something who is recovering from a very bad car accident and is severly handicapped; convinced someone is trying to kill him because he knows something, but the crash has wiped his memory of the one and the thing. So in comes Kinsey Milhone or whatever she's called to solve the case.

My Series Sunday pick is C is for Corpse, the 3rd book in the Kinsey Millhone alphabet mystery series by Sue Grafton. On Monday, Bobby Calahan met with Private Investigator Kinsey Millhone because he thought someone was trying to kill him. By Thursday, he was dead. Kinsey only has one clue: a little red address book and the name "Blackman." As usual, Kinsey discovers secrets as she digs deeper into the investigation. And again, her own life is in danger.
As I hoped, the main character continues to develop, get involved in more mysteries and maintain her ordinary down-to-earth personality. The mysteries are not too predictable either. Is it too early to deem this series a winner?
