Good
When Faith is pulled to another world, she finds her life tied to an aspect of Aron, the god of battle. It’s not an easy path to follow, and far from safe, because in order to survive, they have to fight for it…
Most readers know Ruby Dixon for her sci-fi romances, which are fun, but traditional for their genre. This book is very different. For one, it’s a BIG book, slow burn in the romance department, and it’s a fantasy story. None of those are negatives, just not what you normally expect from this author!
Fortunately, she is an excellent writer, which means that this book is chock full of all of the fun a lover of fantasy might enjoy. World hopping, mediaeval era style living, gods and magic… it’s all in the book.
Faith’s story is an enjoyable journey, a tale of growth on the part of the hero as well as herself, and an entertaining read.
Recommended for fans of fantasy and fantasy romance.

4 Stars!
This book was long...and slow but so funny!
Our Heroine, Faith, keeps hearing weird noises from the apartment next to hers. When she decides to check on the noise one night, she falls into a whole other world. There she is, in her nightgown, in a place that is nothing like earth. She's sold as a slave before she offers herself as the anchor to the Battle God.
Aron, God of Storm and Battle, is an aspect, and he needs an anchor to stay alive on the mortal lands. When Faith offers herself as his anchor, he's glad—or as glad as the arrogant god can be. After Faith and Aron are attacked, they escape and start their journey through the mortal world."He sniffs my hair again, and I wonder if he's hard right now. Is he overcome with lust for me? "You smell bad," Aron says. "When was the last time you bathed?" Man, fuck this guy."
The bickering between Aron and Faith was hilarious! Faith was never afraid to speak her mind, and Aron's arrogance made their dialogue so much fun to read. I laughed out loud multiple times. As I mentioned before, this is a real slow-burn romance. There was almost no romance until I was halfway through the book. However, there were cute scenes between these characters and hilarious dialogue, and that's what kept me reading.
