I have no idea what I was expecting but it definitely wasn’t any of this. I did fall into the mess that was Dixon’s alien series so I thought this books was similar to those. *cough, cough*
This book is obviously a romance book and let me tell you, the slow-burn was amazing. I honestly didn’t care about the world-building at all because I was so focused on the romance. I loved it. I do not plan to read the other books though just because I do not care about the other characters at all.

DNFed very quickly. This was beyond bad. This book was an unpleasant experience all around; from the first-person narrative in the present tense to the superficial and ridiculous characters to the complete lack of world-building. I can't recommend this to anyone.
