Very cute book

Jenny Han just has this magical way of writing. I can read her stories any time, and the conclusion to the Lara Jean series is no different. As a senior in high school, I especially appreciated Lara Jean's struggles throughout the book, as she tries to deal with searching for the right college. I think everything Han touched upon was relatable, and this book made me quite emotional in some parts. I absolutely adored Lara and Peter (haha, shocker) and was thrilled with how strong their relationship had grown since the last installment. Margo and Kitty's relationship with Lara always makes me smile, and I love their relationship with their dad. Anyways, I read this book literally within a day, and I absolutely adored it. Jenny Han, you've done it again! If you want to write a fourth book for this series, I'd be down with that!

Okay okay so peter redeemed himself and he is so cute and adorable and sweet and I love them together

This book is a 3.5. but it's rated four stars. I did like the movie To all the Boys I loved before and wanted to try to give Always and Forever, Lara Jean another try. I think this book was the hardest to get into and the hardest one to like because of all the misgivings I had when I first got into it and I was trying not to rush it because the movie was coming out on Friday.

Don't ever rush a book just because the movie is coming out because it won't be enjoyed properly.

Anyway, this book did pick up for me a bit more during the middle and I think Lara Jean actually did mature more throughout the rest of the book especially when she got into a certain school that I won't spoil here. I think she handled everything towards the end well especially all of the goodbyes. The book ending was written well too, I liked the contract at the end of it best. I was a John and Lara Jean shipper before but now I like Peter and I think I might have to read the whole series again and watch the movie again too.

Original thoughts are below... most are still true, but it ended up being better after I took a break to read other books first. That made a difference for me.

Did not finish at 27 percent even though I think I checked out before that. I was all for giving the book a chance but I don't think I can finish it.

The main issue I had with it was that every other chapter it seemed Lara Jean cared way too much about being a virgin and being scared of what everybody else thought in her class when it really isn't that big of a deal at all. It isn't about everybody else's approval or disapproval at least.

I kept trying, but I'm not going to read something that I'm not enjoying just because it's going to be on Netflix. I might give it another try some other time when maybe the hype goes down but for now this just wasn't for me. The covers were fun, that was what drew me in for the series along with the plot of the first book. But sadly it just wasn't for me.

Again, I ended up finishing the book and it's rated four stars now.

Rating: ★★★★☆

I've enjoyed all the books I've read by Jenny Han, so far, and Always and Forever, Lara Jean is no exception. This final part in the To All the Boys I've Loved Before series brings Lara Jean's story to a heartfelt and satisfying conclusion.

Jenny Han's writing is as charming and engaging as ever, and the characters continue to be relatable and endearing. Lara Jean's journey through her senior year, dealing with college decision, family changes, and her relationship with Peter, is shown authenticity.

However, while I thoroughly enjoyed the book, it just didn't feel like a 5 star read to me.

What a wonderful book. I read it so fast. I really didn't want to put it down. So many things happen in this book. I know the author said this is the last but wow I want another.
Lara Jean is going through the motions of senior year. Waiting to hear back from the college of her choice and being with Peter.
Everyone truly grows up in this book. I found myself thinking okay I truly like Peter a lot better in this book.
Peter shows how he really does love Lara Jean. I don't want to say how or what he does, because for me it's a few things. Also we see how Margot feels a little bit left out with her father's new girlfriend. And how everyone gets along with her. Kitty really has a hand in that.
When Lara Jean feels everything isn't going to according to plan she kind of freaks out a little. But things kind of take a great turn and looks to be a nice out come for her.
I wish there was other books about the other characters.. Like to get Peter's point of view throughout all three books. Even more of Margot's story.

I really enjoyed this one and it was such a good ending to the series! Besides the first one this is definitely my favorite in the series. Lara Jean and Peter are my favorite.

Sugary sweet. A perfect conclusion to the series.

I didn’t want this to end, such a cute series!
