Ok, so I see what the book was going for, which was a sort of coming-of-age, family book. All things considered though, I don’t think this was a great genre for the amazing characters already built up in the past books. My main problem with it was that the past books of the trilogy were originally romance, but this book probably didn’t have more than 75 pages with Peter actually in it. The worst part was when Peter actually was in the book, his natural golden-retriever self was turned into a pessimistic and secretive character. Of course, I absolutely LOVE Lara Jean’s family, but I think it would’ve been better if the wedding was the subplot, and Peter and Lara Jean’s story was the main focus. I truly wanted to love this book, but I was so bored during the beginning and middle. On the plus side though, the ending was SO beautifully done, and I could not stop crying. #TeamCovinsky forever!!

Last part of the book kept my heart aching but I’m glad the way it ended.
Comparing to the first two books, it felt this book was “heavier” and/or more emotional.
The sinking feeling I felt when they were being “distant” was real lol. I still feel it even thought it is a happy ending.
Book hangover for sure lol

“How do you remember all that?” I ask in amazement.
Smiling, he shrugs. “I don’t know. I just do.”
Kitty’s always saying how origin stories are important.
At college, when people ask us how we met, how will we answer them? The short story is, we grew up together. But that’s more Josh’s and my story. High school sweethearts? That’s Peter and Gen’s story. So what’s our’s, then?
I suppose I’ll say it all started with a love letter.
The perfect ending to a perfect book series. In true Lara Jean fashion I have fallen completely in love with the characters in this book and the world in which they inhabit. Jenny Han is a talented storyteller who manages to write in a way which is beautiful and oh so relatable to teenagers everywhere. As a teenager myself, I relate strongly to Lara Jean’s narrative, all her worries and concerns about the past, present and future. But mostly I relate to her desire to live a life worth remembering, constantly looking at moments and wondering how she’ll remember them in ten, twenty or more years. A perfectly beautiful book which I very much enjoyed reading, 5/5 stars!

(Spoilery maybe) In this series conclusion, I like the sister relationships, the family dynamics, and the inclusion of culture in this one. I appreciated all of this, but if you're in it for any kind of Peter and Lara Jean, you'll have to wait until the last third of the book (about). I hate how throughout all of these books, Peter and Lara Jean don't even resolve theirs disagreement, they just forgive and mostly forget. But, at least Jenny Han reminds the reader that they are teenagers and this is just how it is for them. And who knows what the future will bring. I agree with Lana and the other actors, Peter is Mr. Right Now and John Ambrose McClaren or someone like him is Mr. Future. Sorry, I started shipping her more with John Ambrose in the second one.

Oh my god, that ending is so heartwarming. Thank God, Jenny Han wrote another book. My love for this series has been redeemed. ♥
