As a beach girlie at heart, I was really intrigued by this thriller since it took place at a resort, and it did not disappoint. I felt like I was actually taking a vacation there, the descriptions of the island were so well written. I will say this is definitely more of a slow burn thriller and you learn a lot about the characters and their backgrounds. So if you want a very cut and dry thriller, this might not be the one for you. Because it had a lot of background on the characters, I felt like I could really connect with our main characters throughout the book. I would have given this book 5 stars but the plot twist at the end just didn’t seem very realistic so that is why I ended up giving it 4 stars. But overall, I really enjoyed the characters, I read it within a day and I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a summer thriller!

I don't know why there are two different tiles for this book, but both don't match the entire storyline of the book.

From the start, my gut feeling pointed me in the right direction about who did what, and the epilogue sums up that there was more to the story than what Cass and Brooke witnessed. My original thought about everyone in Koh Sang was that everyone has a past they're trying to hide from (but you don't get into some people's past until the end), and the Permanents were trying to make Koh Sang the next Maldives.

I liked the twists and turns of every chapter that both Cass and Brooke provided from their perspectives but felt that it was only needed to provide an out of why Brooke was arriving at Koh Sang. The story took place in Southeast Asia, but the lack of scenery description made it seem that this story could have taken place somewhere else.

The pointing Spider-Man theme for so much of this book
