This book had twists upon twists upon twists. Some I felt were somewhat predictable but others I definitely didn’t see coming. Especially the epilogue. Great book! If I could give it 4.5 stars I would!

I don’t usually read thrillers, but when this book came out as a Book of the Month option for the month I was going to be in Puerto Rico, I couldn’t resist. I found myself having to stop reading so that I didn’t finish it in one sitting. The alternating narrators, both of which are unreliable, made the mystery irresistible. I can’t wait to read this again in a few years after I’ve forgotten some of the twists and turns.

I would have rated this much higher if not for the stupidity of the epilogue that ruins everything built up by the rest of the story and makes the least amount of sense. The story is complete without it. It provides nothing but frustration instead of the intended twist. The forced edginess was eye roll inducing.
