This was better than I expected. The ending was so wholesome.

Pleasant read but kind of pointless? I was hoping for more out of Margaret Atwood…

So Glad I Took a Chance!

I can't tell you how many times I'd passed over this title without a second thought. Then, I saw it was a 'short story' and thought, "Why not? "

It was an hour of listening time and the narration was smooth and interesting. I was hooked from the first page.

The story itself was almost bittersweet in my opinion. I like the idea of witchcraft and magic; this has just the right amount.

Very happy that I have it a shot.

As good as you can get for a short story. I loved its premise. we never quite understand our parents until we are older. They go through many measures to shield us from the troubles that life can bring. This was a cute story about a Mother's love and a young girl coming into adulthood. I do recommend, it is a quick and witty read.
