A nice short read.

Cute story about a girl and her mother, growing up, and how you often understand your parents a little bit more once you view your childhood through an adult lens. The ending felt a little flat when I thought we were being set up for something a little more profound, so 3 stars.

Ah, what we do as mothers!

This is a short 57 minute listen on audible but it’s engrossing and whimsical, and so very witty. I wasn’t expecting the turn it took at the end, but I really enjoyed it. The narration was very good too, I don’t think it would’ve been the same read by anyone else.

My Evil Mother by Margaret Atwood with Hillary Huber (Narrator) 3⭐️

“The protector was her, the greater power was her, the Universe that took an interest was her as well; always her”

57 minute long audiobook A teenage girl in 1950s suburbia being raised by a single mother who may—or may not—be a witch. This short story was set in Toronto! I’m not going to spoil anything but it has some funny, cooky, & weird moments 😂  the ending is ambiguous & had some sad moments

A short piece. Entertaining.
