Ridiculous, but cute

Easy, enjoyable chick lit, but definitely not as captivating as the shopaholic series.

I started out hating this book. At first, I kept thinking that this book was exactly like What Alice Forgot, and that one was a whole lot better. In Alice, she's forgotten ten years of her life. Here Lexi has forgotten 3. It's a lot less realistic that such drastic changes would have happened in just 3 years. The truth is that most people change very little in 3 years, and the idea that she would have completely overhauled her look, become director of the company she worked for, and become the wife of a billionaire husband is so far-fetched that I had trouble getting past the first two chapters. The only thing I can really say is that by the end of the book, I was sold on the characters. I really liked Lexi, and Jon, and even Eric. I cared about what happened to them, and wanted to see where Lexi's current life would lead her. I still think What Alice Forgot is a better book, but I did enjoy reading this book in the end.

This was a nice refreshing book. Just something silly. I loved the story overall. The main character was so relatable. It was nice to see her pulled back down to earth. And the ending was perfect.

Fun although the ending was a bit rushed. And I can't recall hating a character as much as Lexi's mom in a long time.

This story was cute and made for a nice read when I was looking for something light. The premise is that the main character has amnesia after a car accident, and cannot remember the last 3 years of her life. The main character wakes up in the hospital and finds out that her unlucky, poor, and disheveled 25 year old self has magically transformed into a slimmed down blonde with straight white teeth who has a fairy tale husband, big money, and a thriving career at 28 years old...but she's not quite sure how any of it happened. There are a lot of twists and turns along the way, so the story line definitely kept me interested, but it dragged on a little bit at the start. There was a lot of reiterating that Lexi lost her memory at the beginning - it got to be annoying how many times Lexi would have to remind people that having amnesia actually means she doesn't remember anything, not just the one situation they were talking about, but the next event/person they were going to bring up, too. The whole situation felt very believable though, because it would be a very great struggle to get back to "normal" life when you don't understand your job, your husband is a stranger, and you're not quite sure who is manipulating you and who is genuinely telling you the truth.

2.5 or 2.75 stars. It was cute, but didn't stick with me. I finished it a few days ago and already I can't really remember what happened. It had a similar premise to [b:What Alice Forgot|6469165|What Alice Forgot|Liane Moriarty|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1377159022l/6469165._SY75_.jpg|6659752], but I really liked that one and this one was just okay. I didn't dislike it, but probably wouldn't recommend it to someone unless they want a super light read. Sometimes I need one like this, even if it isn't amazing!

This was a good book to listen to during/right after finals week. It was (relatively) predictable but a nice, fluffy Holiday read.

the ending was terrible and i felt that some of the plot was rushed but yet some parts were dragged out and unnecessarily long.

super quick read tho even though the plot had a few loopholes it kept me interested, finished it in 2 hours.

4.5 Stars!
