This is actually a DNF I just can’t do it. I put it down in February and not once have I had any desire to go back to it. I don’t get the hype at all. I made it about half way and it felt super slow plus I don’t feel the chemistry with the MCs. I just can’t with this one.

After the last few books I was looking for something light and romantic and this was the perfect choice.
The characters are both very likable. They have interesting personalities and you root for them from the beginning. I love the way their closeness due to the situation starts from the very beginning of the book, but doesn't get boring.
Lucas is a very kind, caring and sweet man. He is always there to support Rosie whenever she needs it. He is the perfect candidate. Of course, it is a bit depressing how he was not able to communicate honestly about his accident, even when he actually got himself in trouble with the whole thing, but we forgive and forgive him for that.
The way they slowly fall in love, but before that they experience those certain "trials" gave the book a perfect arc, and made me very happy when I read the end and could relax a little the part of my heart that had been rooting for them from the beginning.

this definitely is a book that exists! the beginning was SO BORING it took me almost a whole year to get to page 100. very disappointed because i absolutely LOVED spanish love deception (even with its flaws) and im overall very light-handed on criticism when it comes to trope-y romance books because there's a certain formula you're getting, so whatever. but this book damn like i felt like i was reading a worse, less well put together version of beach read by emily henry... was not my favorite at all but hey! at least i finished it!

fun but i’ve got some issues with this one. so much so it lead me to write all of this in my notes.
list of grievances:
- “cronut you”
- the tickling situation
- every time they almost hook up it gets interrupted in an unrealistic way
- the sebastian stan references
- the characters seem to know each other like the back of their hand AND YET neither of them have a clue what the other is feeling…like girl.
- the random brother is a stripper side plot?
- the fact that she makes this whole grand gesture and he does not have the decency to communicate his feelings about it like a big boy and instead just blubbers while she walks away
- he literally just showed up and she forgave him instantly? no.

This book made my heart so happy. This is a perfect slow burn, lighthearted love story. You instantly fall in love with the characters from the very beginning and cheer them on the whole time.
