I have complicated feelings on this one. I love El and her friendships. I thought the romance with Liesel was unnecessary. I really liked the ending realization about maw mouths and the enclaves, it was clever and the tie in to the prophecy. That felt very satisfying. But I was ultimately disappointed with Orion. We didn’t get enough resolution with evil Ophelia and but the end it didn’t make sense for El and Orion to be together??

El finished with school now travels the world in an effort to save failing enclaves from maleficers. While on her travels she uncovers the truth about how they are built. She also discovers that unique abilities are crucial to stabilizing the wizarding community. She soon realizes that Orion family and history are much darker then she imagined and returns to Scholomance to find him but she will have to make a choice between Orion and the magical world as she knows it. I know this will not be popular opinion but this book was the best of the three in my humble opinion. It tied everything together and provided so much more character and magical world background that truly appreciated it. There really is not much I can say with out spoilers and I am not about those. Overall this was a well done final book in the series.
