This book has been so easy to read! I’ve devoured it. The story is so original and nothing like I’ve read before. The first two thirds greatly caught my attention. I am really impressed by the plot and I feel I will remember it for long to come! 
I read only one other book with a mermaid and I feel it was just as unique. ♥️

hated it. they spelt out the words phonetically with their accents. it also felt weirdly fetishy in a way that was not intended.

this was not very RIVETING. i think the book as a whole is interesting in the way it explores idk woman hood, sexuality, as well as carribean history and its' colonisation. but it was just wasnt for me. oops. sorry xd. also. if i were to study this for english. there would be lots of STYLISTIC FEATURES XDDDDDDDDD

God, why so sad 

After finishing the book I felt very drained
A hurricane of sadness, grief, jealousy, lust, friendships and love
I liked the story, I do wish there was more happiness involved for everyone
