I wanted to like this since it's about female friendships and set in Britain but the characters were just so meh to me.

Caddy- what the hell?? I can't believe she was jealous of her sister for having a mental illness and her best friend for having a dead sister because it made them more 'interesting' than her. Caddy had a stable home situation, good friends and a good education but apparently that's too boring for her.

Rosie- nice...boring.. also a slut shamer so

Suzanne- manipulative but understandably why. I felt sympathetic towards her in some situations but thought her actions were downright stupid in others.

Overall the main characters stopped me from enjoying this book as much as I wanted to but there were parts I liked and the writing style was easy to read and get into

I tried to like this book, I really did but the deeper I got into the story the more I started hating it. When I bought this book I had no idea that it would be about such a complicated story because the cover description literally gave us nothing lol. All the characters were incredibly annoying, especially the main character, whose only personal trait was complaining, selfishness, and literally just being dumb. I couldn't name a single character I would genuinely like or that I wouldn't despise.

The entire story pretty much had no plot. The storyline was boring and later on I honestly stopped caring about Suzanna or her annoying-ass repetitive actions. A lot of moments in the book gave me a literal secondhand embarrassment and were cringe as fuck. The ending was absolutely terrible and cringe and I honestly hated the friendship between Cady and Suzanna so I pretty much skipped most of their scenes in the end lol.

3/5 starts, a pretty shitty book, would not recommend.

Caddy is a bit of an annoying girl. But I guess that makes sense, since she's sixteen and we've all been like that - stupid nd selfish worries about not having a boyfriend or being too boring. I just wanted to roll my eyes at her a lot. This book is about friendship, which is different. No romance, at all. I think it's very close to reality: girls are mean and selfish. Specially when it comes to each other. It also concerns mental illness, and it can be a bit of an open-eyes too. Not one of my favourites, didn't touch me that much, but it is good one.
