I loved the "magic" side of the book, the gift each woman in the family had/ has and the message of the story about happiness and second chance in life.

Okay first of all- I LOVE LOVE LOVE Magic of Lemon Drop Pie. I plan on watching the Hallmark movie and everything. But this just didn't live up to MLDP. I know it doesn't have to, but this just wasn't close. I like the premise, I like the characters, I like the magical realism...I just didn't connect. It was very insta-lovey and very wordy (sometimes it felt like a stream of consciousness narration). But I will still read all of Rachel Linden's books!

I wanted to like this book more than I did. I loved her other two books and was looking for that same vibe. This book went a different way then I thought it would and was much deeper. I don't know if I liked Georgia that much and don't know if I believe the relationship happening as quickly as it did. The story felt long and then wrapped up very quickly.

It's ok though at times I think no editing was done for correctness. Nice and cosy but not groundbreaking.

“Recipe for a Charmed Life" is a heartwarming and poignant tale that delves into the complexities of relationships and the journey of a young woman searching for her place in the world. I found myself immersed in the twists and turns of the story and wanted to be a part of their world. There's also a very Hallmark romantic subplot involving the main character and her enigmatic neighbor, who has secrets of his own. Magic subtly weaves its way through this enchanting book, evoking feelings of hope and wonder.

I thoroughly enjoyed the many wonderful elements of this story and would recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet read.
