This was just the sweetest story. I was really excited for this one to come out after I read The Magic of Lemon Drop Pie, and I did really like it, but I think I liked Lemon Drop just a little bit more. Even though I love a slightly "magical" storyline, this one drew me in a little less than I thought it would. But, the characters are so warm and lovable, even though they've made mistakes - forgiveness is definitely a big part of the story. The spice is mild, sweetness definitely takes the lead and stays in the lead all the way through. There were a handful of cheesy lines that made me chuckle out loud. I liked Georgia's personality and her taste in music... but of course, more than anything, I loved her obsession with "our patron saint, Julia Child" - I mean, same girl, same. All in all, it was charming and sweet read - it kept my attention and was easy to get through!
