Liars Like Us was my first book by J.T. Geissinger. And to be honest, I'm not sure if it was the best book to start. Don't get me wrong, the writing style is intriguing and I definitely will pick up another book by her, but there is just something about this one that simply didn't get through to me.

It might be the fact that this book is written solely in Emery's POV. To me, to understand everything better, specially a morally grey hero, I need his POVs as well. This made it hard for me to connect with Callum on a deeper level.

Also, the ending felt rushed to me. And I'm still confused about Callum's side job.

Even though many questionable things happen in this story and red flags (at least in real life they would be) are thrown out left and right, I thoroughly enjoyed Emery and Cullum's banter. The flow of the story was nicely paced and kept me interested. There is some push and pull between Emery and Callum that ends in hot tension and scenes well placed within the story.

This follows Callum and Emery and it was a rollercoaster of a ride with Callum who takes a bit of getting used to.

A billionaire he gets what he wants and has no patience and sets his sights on Emery the owner of a bookstore. She’s down on her luck and her business is about to be lost but Callum offers her shedloads of money to marry him.

I enjoyed the banter between the two, Emery was a strong, ballsy woman and didn’t always let Callum
get what he wanted. The power he had in this book was remarkable and he didn’t care how he used it to get what he wanted.

A dirty talker in the bedroom his marriage to Emery is his focus and he goes all out to persuade her to fall
In love with him.

A good romance and I enjoyed it.

I LOVED it! This book surprised me. It is not just another billionaire romance. It is the best that I have read of the billionaire (and other) romance books. Everything flowed so smoothly, no jerks out because of mismatched tense or other errors. The dialogue was natural and hilarious. You get really attached to the characters - I WANT MORE OF THEM. Oh yeah, it was quite the

I like it in general, especially of how witty the heroine is but I think this is just another feel good story that is easily forgettable.

This book was wild, but also low-key funny, so entertaining overall.
