Not the best but i felt like all the characters had a redeemable quality that most OTHER greek plays we read, lacked. I wish we could have dove more deep into it but alls well that ends well.

This book contains a lot of Tragedy. If king Creon would've taken good steps and measures, then he could've stopped the tragedy and the book would've taken a different turn changing the plot. Author didn't do justice to characters. But again, it's a drama on tragedy. So if anyone is interested in that genre, they can read this play.

Curioso como a escolha do nome da peça recai numa personagem que não acho que seja a central. Podia-se chamar "Creonte". A peça é toda dele.

A ver se arranjo o "Rei Édipo". Uma obra de Sófocles que representa o periodo anterior a esta peça e que se trata do pai de Antígona. As grandes tragédias gregas!

How does one actually rate a book which has lived on as a classic for nearly 2500 years? That fact alone implies it's worth reading.
