I read this because many of my students enjoy the series. I just found the whole concept stupid and the characters annoying. I know many people would disagree with me, but this series is just not for me.

Cute and fun! Probably won't read anymore though. But like, I'm not the target audience.

Fone Bone and his two cousins have been run out from Boneville after Phoney Bone conducts some bad money schemes. After traveling across the desert into territory no bone has ever been to before, the trio gets separated in a place called the Valley and Fone Bone must use his smarts to survive on his own. He makes some friends along the way but also some horrifying enemies. Will he ever find his cousins?

This was quite a fun read for me. I don't think that I've ever really read and _Bone_ comics before so the experience was all new. I liked the subtle humor here and (much like in my review for _Shazam! Monster Society of Evil_) I liked that the audience could easily consist of many ages. There were, however, some weird moments with Thorn, the girl that Fone Bone falls in love with. She kind of treats him sort of like a pet in that she doesn't consider any kind of romance when thinking about him, but it isn't clear if we as the reader are supposed to hope for a romance or if that's even possible. Not that there's anything wrong with there not being a romance, but she looks rather young to me so it's a little hard to get over. Maybe I'll learn more about it in the later installments. Overall, the humor is what hooked me, so I'll for sure be reading the next ones.

Very funny and very cool book. The audio makes is even better as the narrator/author makes perfect voices.

Not a big fan of this book at all. Is it bad? No. Just not my style. I picked it up on the recommendation of a friend. I didn't find anything amusing about her constantly digging into more debt and making herself look more and more stupid. It got to a point where I dreaded reading it. It's a good thing that I hate not finishing a book otherwise I probably would have never made it passed the half-way point.

I can't say that I don't like this author because I actually liked her book [b:Remember Me?|1358844|Remember Me?|Sophie Kinsella|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1276963901s/1358844.jpg|2855627] or even [b:The Undomestic Goddess|33722|The Undomestic Goddess|Sophie Kinsella|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1168462711s/33722.jpg|2914]. Definitely give those two a shot if you get the chance.
