This is just a little snack along the way. But it has Bobbie. And that makes it great.
If you know who that is (Calaban's War), then you shouldn't miss this one.

This nice little novella follows Bobbie Draper back to Mars, but she isn't really the focus of the story. It's her nephew David, who seems to be caught up in a "Breaking Bad-esque" drug cooking scheme and is in a little over his head.

This was a good story, but didn't seem to capture me as well as the other short stories in the series, Drive and The Butcher of Anderson Station. Maybe it was just a little too generic, or maybe I feel like it didn't really add much to the overall story, I'm not really sure. It wasn't bad though, I did enjoy it. And for fans of the series, it's more good content within an awesome, established universe.

A weak side journey for Bobby Draper as she helps her nephew on Mars.

Bobbie Draper is such a bad ass. Love her! Fun story that shows a seedy side of Martian life.

A short novella set in the world of The Expanse. The story centers around Bobby Draper's nephew, David. A gifted science student, David moonlights as a chemist for a local drug ring. His school lab times blend with his drug making efforts which is difficult to manage until a close friend gets in trouble.

If you're a fan of The Expanse, you'll enjoy this novella. S.A. Corey packs a lot of detail into this short story, but you can quickly pick up on it if you're familiar with the novels, the character of Bobby Draper and the world of Mars.
