A short novella set in the world of The Expanse. The story centers around Bobby Draper's nephew, David. A gifted science student, David moonlights as a chemist for a local drug ring. His school lab times blend with his drug making efforts which is difficult to manage until a close friend gets in trouble.

If you're a fan of The Expanse, you'll enjoy this novella. S.A. Corey packs a lot of detail into this short story, but you can quickly pick up on it if you're familiar with the novels, the character of Bobby Draper and the world of Mars.

A decent story set in the world of the Expanse. It doesn't do anything to continue the story or do much world-building, but was fun enough. Shows Bobby being badass and it was interesting to have something set on Mars. Ok, but not amazing. These would all be better combined in a short story collection, but its nice to read them in the right order

This was pretty good for a novella. The insight on Mars the planet was nice. It was also nice to see Bobbie's family. The drugs were interesting. I like the idea of these novellas between the books.

It was interesting to hear about Bobbies life on Mars, but the mood was much darker and kind of depressing, and there was much more sexuality than I prefer.
