This was a sweet and entertaining story. It was the perfect palate cleanser after a disappointing reas. There were no real surprises, but that's what is comforting about this kind of book. The characters were well-formed and likeable, and it was easy to relate to them, or at least to some of them, as all four sisters are very different from each other. The story itself sets them up for some good character development (each sister has to complete a 'task' to receive their inheritance and they all either succeed or they all fail; there is no in-between), and it delivered perfectly.
Absolutely delightful.

Thanks to the complex mother-daughter relationships Michelle Upton has highlighted within the novel I found it made for a well-rounded novel with moments of light, the bond between the sisters was laugh-out-loud funny and touching.

4 sisters and a mother challenging each of her daughters. For sisters Isla, Jess, Mel and Rose they must each complete a task set by their mother the formable Jackie Turner to inherit her vast fortune. Fail and it will all be donated to a charity.
This is a story about family and their relationships. A book about love but also about past hurts. As each daughter starts their challenge they must also look at themselves and their lives.
I really enjoyed reading about each of the sisters and how they connected to each other and their relationship. Set in my own hometown @michelleuptontheauthor brings together a beautiful debut novel.
Terms of Inheritance is now available. Thank you to @harpercollinsau for my eARC.

I loved this book! Each and every one of the Turner women feel so real, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't cry whilst reading. Terms of Inheritance is brilliant, funny, and heart touching all at once.
