I didn’t wholly understand all the music references, but they made the relationships in this book feel incredibly three dimensional. This was a quick, enjoyable read about three friends who (sometimes unsuccessfully) gave each other room to grow into their authentic selves.

This was a beautifully written book and completely character driven. The main problem was that I didn’t really like Percy or Joe and couldn’t really invested in their relationship or lack of it. I loved the nostalgia. As Percy and I were the same age.
