Norman is engaged and Hannah is jealous! This was a refreshing read. It was nice to see Hannah missing Norman instead of Norman waiting for Hannah to make time for him. Hannah now sees how Norman has been feeling sharing her with Mike. Now, the mystery. A guest minister is found dead in the church office. An old friend of Hannah's ask her to look into it. I enjoyed this one. It was fun with the romantic and mystery twists.

I did not enjoy the Minnesotans need guns rant. I will not be reading the other books I own by her.

Book # 14 in the Hannah Swenson cozy mystery series and she STILL hasn’t made up her mind on which suitor – dentist Norman or lawman Mike – to accept. Looks like the boys may be making the decision for her.

Oh, and there is a murder that Hannah simply MUST investigate, because … well, it wouldn’t be a cozy mystery without an amateur detective. And, of course, as part of her snooping, Hannah has to make batch after batch of cookies and even invent a couple of new recipes (all to entice the various suspects into giving her information, of course).

I read this mostly because I needed a pink cover for a couple of challenges and the books in this series are great for those cover-color challenges. It’s a fast read and I do like some of the recurring supporting characters, though Hannah drives me crazy. Also, the recipes are always tempting.

Hannah actually did her own baking and work in this novel. I'm pleasantly surprised.
And
SpoilerI suppose that's one way to get rid of Norman, lol. To avoid Hannah being the 'homewrecker'. Is it just going to be Mike from now on? Or is someone else joining in the next book?

I found this to be a little more interesting than some in this series, but I find my self getting frustrated with Hannah's personal life. The books always end with a mini-cliffhanger which is what made me immediately listen to this book, but the cliff hanger part of the story hardly developed at all and then at the end the cliffhanger this time was the storyline I wanted to know from the last book, so I am taking a break. Who knows how many books it will take to get answers!!

It moved along at a brisk pace but the romantic triangle, now square, is getting annoying again. The revelation at the very end made me groan.
