I found this to be a little more interesting than some in this series, but I find my self getting frustrated with Hannah's personal life. The books always end with a mini-cliffhanger which is what made me immediately listen to this book, but the cliff hanger part of the story hardly developed at all and then at the end the cliffhanger this time was the storyline I wanted to know from the last book, so I am taking a break. Who knows how many books it will take to get answers!!

It moved along at a brisk pace but the romantic triangle, now square, is getting annoying again. The revelation at the very end made me groan.

Very good mystery this time around. It took a little bit to figure it out. A red herring was thrown in there and I had to get unconfused from that to figure it all out. Hannah and the whole gang were great as usual. Just mad at Norman because he's letting someone tell him what to do. Hopefully that gets resolved in the next book. Of course, the recipes looked delicious.

More like a 3.5 stars. After the last few outing with baker Hannah, I wasn't sure I'd pick this one up, but I'm glad I did. The townsfolk feel like friends after this many outings. We know the body will be found in, on, or near one of Hannah's baked goods and we know she will pursue the case with the help of Norman, her sister, mother, Lisa and Herb, and try to hide her findings from Mike.

By now readers also expect the love triangle to continue in a status quo. The stagnant relationships between Hannah, Mike and Norman had become a drag, to the point where I was ready to abandon this otherwise tasty cozy series. I won't spoil it, but this book points to a new dynamic, one that has this reader anticipating the next outing.
