Prepare yourself for all the feels!

Brittainy did it again. I fell in love with her writing more and more, with each page. This feeling I have after finishing is going to have to sit with me for a ew days before I’m ready to move on from Aaliyah and Connor’s story.

this was good, they just were too perfect sometimes and I like my characters a little...different.
the star of the book was definitely Damian tho
description

This book was surprisingly heavy. I thought I was walking in solidly in contemporary romance territory and then it took a sharp left into chick lit.
I wasn't upset about it, but even though the romance in this book was important to the plot, it definitely took a back seat when Aaliyah's whole story came out.
I liked Easter Lights, but I definitely wish I would have known more about the seriousness of the plot going into it.

Another "in love with the wrong guy" story. Though to be fair, Aaliyah and Conner were somewhat anonymous when they first met. I have to say the whole thing with Conner's parents was BIZARRE. What are the odds? At the same time, it was good to see how Conner worked his ass off to become something and then ended up getting the girl, too.

My reading order for this series is just vibes. It's looking like it will be end up being #3, #2, #1 and then #4. Western Waves was the first book I read in this series and I loved Damian. This book showcased the other part of him. I don't think I can say this enough but Brittainy Cherry but she does not miss. Loved this book. Connor and Aaliyah story was so special. The whole Captain American and Little Red Riding Hood, c'mon how could you not love that? I loved it all.

Favorite Quote: “The best way to get over a love is to find a stronger connection with another person. So, I present to you, your Halloween love story.”

Favorite Scene In 1-3 Words: Connor visiting Grant

I cannot say enough good things about this installment of the Compass series! It took me like 20 chapters to realize that Connor is the same Connor from Southern Storms! I’m ride or die for grumpy x sunshine but this man had me rooting so hard for a “golden retriever bf.” I cried from beginning to end, except for the moments I was fuming while reading Jason’s parts. Connor’s only flaw? Not kicking Jason’s butt. OMG and Damian?! LOVE HIM. I like my romance books on the smutty side but the plot and characters were written so wonderfully that I didn’t mind that this book didn’t really have much of it. If this is already on your tbr or you’re considering adding it, have some tissues ready before you begin
