I found this story to be frustrating and can’t believe I gave this a five star. Not that it was bad but not my fav. Don’t see myself ever rereading/continuing on with the series.

Irresistible You is book 1 in the Chicago Rebels series. I don't read many sports related romances, and found this refreshing! Kate Meader writes seriously steamy Contemporary Romances and I really enjoy her writing style overall. If you haven't tried out one of her books yet you need to.
Harper Chase is thrown for a loop when her father passes away and leaves his hockey team, the Chicago Rebels to Harper and her two half-sisters. They pretty much have had no contact but they don't exactly get along. The ladies all decide to try their best to meet the terms in his will and turn the second worst team in the NHL into one that will enter the playoffs all within a season. Harper is the coolheaded sister that is all work and no play. She's trading in players she thinks will help and the newest recruit is giving her enough trouble she flys to his house to give him a nudge in the right direction. This is when we learn that Remy “Jinx” DuPre wants to win the cup before he retires in the near future and Harper is ruining all his plans. The two get under each other's skin and though they bicker like nonother, there is an undeniable attraction that neither can resist. We see the team banding together to do their best but everything is questioned when word gets out about the agreement Harper and Remy made. The book is well balanced with the romance as well as seeing how the hockey team and the staff are doing and it leads to a really entertaining read that doesn't drag.
Irresistible You is a steamy hockey romance that you need to grab. Harper's character, in particular, I really enjoyed. You see her icy exterior with everyone but underneath that, you see she's like everyone else. Remy has a habit of bringing that out and boy do they butt heads. I thought they were a good balance for one another and I enjoyed seeing what would happen next. If you're a fan of hockey romances you'll adore this series.

I really enjoyed the prequel novella to this series, and having read the next book out of order, I was quite eager to go back and read this one, so I could see what I was missing. It didn't disappoint!
I loved what a strong, independent woman Harper was! I also loved how Remy really didn't try to change her either. I especially loved how he seemed to be the perfect fit for her with wanting to be a Housedad! The plot kept me engaged and entertained, despite me not having much time to be able to read it.
What I didn't like was that this seemed too much like other books that have been previously published. I know another reviewer mentioned that it was a lot like Jennifer Probst’s Billionaire Builders Series, but for me, this was a lot like Heather Tullis' DiCarlo Brides series. The other reviewer was correct in saying that the similiarity to those other series made this one predictable to a degree, but I did feel that there were enough twists away from those to make it interesting! I'm eager to read the next book in the series now!

fast-paced
Beginning of a hockey series . It was fine but I can't see myself wanting to gobble up the other books.
Graphic: Domestic abuse
Typically insta-attraction/insta-lust/insta-whatever books never make it above 3-stars for me. They're just not my cuppa. I believe in building a foundation for a relationship. But this had insta (in this case it was the inexplicable "pull" that these characters almost immediately had toward each other) and yet, for some reason, I couldn't put this down.

You had me at hockey!
This is my first Kate Meader read, however it won't be my last.
Now, I am a real sucker for a hockey hottie (that's what she said!) so it was a no brainer to read Irresistible You. Once I picked it up, what it really was was irresistible to me!
Once I started, I couldn't stop reading Harper and Remy's story. Their spark and banter drew me in, their family and friends kept things rolling, and I just needed to know more.
I love the premise of Harper and her sisters now owning a hockey team *singing sisters are doing it for themselves
The story flowed well, there is great character development, lots of emotion - and now I am impatiently waiting for the next book!
Can't wait to see where the story takes us.

Where's the 6 star option?! I've been reading Kate Meader's books since her Chicago firefighter series. Her writing was what immediately had me hooked. That has not changed. This book was downright addictive! I couldn't put it down. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Remy and Harper. Their attraction flowed off the pages and had me rooting for them. From the brilliant plotline to the fun side characters this book has it all. I can't wait for the rest of the series! 6 stars!
KM writes appealing characters with enough character development to keep you reading. But her plots are really predictable and the book needs more depth. the main obstacle between the 2 MCs works well and I really like the negotiating between them but I found it frustrating when KM uses stupidity and drama to move the plot forward. KM is really good at character relationships; she needs to spend more time on her plots.
