Once again Kate Meader has written a flawless romance that blends sweet and heat with a story of family and friendship that will have you longing to move to Chicago and take in a hockey game or two.
In this story you'll meet Remy, a Cajun who loves his family, food and hockey. With an accent that will make you swoon, nicknames that will make you blush (Minou), and the ability to whip up an amazing meal, you'll fall in love with with this man who is the epitome of a gentlemen. Remy knows what he wants and isn't afraid to go for it. Especially when what he wants is Harper.
Harper is very career focused and set out to prove herself to a dad who clearly misjudged and underestimated her and a sports world that doesn't think she's capable of running a hockey team. Forced to share the decision making with her estranged sisters, she finds herself not just fighting for a team she loves but for all of womankind. An attraction to the sexy, veteran player she's brought on to get her team on track is the last thing she needs but the one thing she can't seem to ignore.
I adored Remy and Harper together. The tension between them was so incredibly hot I couldn't stop reading!! I also really enjoyed the family dynamic between her and her sisters and was happy to see them slowly starting to bond and work together and support each other the way they never had the chance to before.
I can already tell that This is going to be a great series and I'm really excited to see where the secondary character's stories take me!!

I want my own Cajun hockey hottie!
This book was sexy as hell. The chemistry between the two main characters was electric. I'm overusing the cliches here but I loved this book. I'm already impatiently waiting for the next one.

3.5 stars
This was a quick, steamy read. I liked it, my first book by Kate Meader and I will definitely read more. Irresistible You is a good introduction to this series, I loved Remy and his Cajun side, all this french made me quite happy (chauvinist much?) and it was hot. Cajun french isn't quite the same as French french but it's ten times hotter, I tell you. I want someone to call me "minou".
I liked Harper a bit less, all this tough-lady-don't-need-no-man act really got to me. She was okay at the beginning but got more and more annoying throughout the story, thankfully the ending was really nice and sweet so she made up for it.
All in all, Irresistible You was a good start to the Chicago Rebels series, it made me want a Cajun man for myself and made me realize that I should read more sport romance books, like lots more.

Reasonable hockey romance with a ridiculous ending.
Didn’t love either of the characters or the boss/employee dynamic. It also moved at a ridiculous speed that I really couldn’t get behind.
But I will say it was reasonably enjoyable as just something to have on in the background.
The narrator really enjoyed me and had me put this book aside. There were supposed to be French and Spanish accents but they sounded the same and neither was accurate. I only ended putting it back on because I was about to fall asleep on a long drive and new the absurdity would anger me and keep me awake.

Kate Meader has brought some Cajun hotness to hockey! I loved Remy and Harper's story. Despite a rocky start, these two balanced each other perfectly. Neither of them tried to change who the other was, instead wanting to be the one that stood behind the scenes supporting.
As with any Kate Meader book, she manages to give the perfect balance of witty, banged up characters, chemistry, snappy dialogue and sexiness to make you wish you could jump right into book 2.
I look forward to reading more of the Chicago Rebels series.

Really loved this one! Both main characters were fantastic. Can't wait to see what's next.
Loved
This was the first I’ve read of this author. Loved the characters in his book. And I am super excited to meet more.

4/5🌶️, Libby ebook, first in a series, contemporary, sports (hockey), boss-employee (but she’s the boss), ice queen-himbo(ish), strong dislike to lovers, part owner and acting GM of her late father’s hockey team trying to prove herself FMC, cocky and smooth talking NHL player MMC
Knowing that the market is saturated with hockey romances, it was nice to read a book that kind of threw the typical tropes out the window. We have an ice queen FMC trying to prove she can make a winning NHL team. There was a lot of discussion about how women in sports were perceived and how any failures would be blamed on the leadership being women. Then we have a French-speaking Cajun hockey player down to his last season just trying to get one last shot at the cup. The back and forth between the characters was well done and their romance seemed well paced. I enjoyed that the MMC fell first and while he did do some grand gestures to win the FMC, she was the one to make the last huge declaration. The spice was also pretty good; there was a great “ride me” scene. Overall, an enjoyable hockey romance and I’ll probably pick up the rest of the series at some point.
