I'm sorry but this was so boring. I was waiting for this to come out and I ended up being so disappointed. The bet was really stupid. The only reason I didn't DNF was because I was waiting for it to be good, my fault, it never happened. Yes there were times where it was ok to read but it only lasted a few lines. Unfortunately, the writing was not my favorite either. There were really cringe parts and the FMC pissed me off for some reason. Sorry not sorry.

I love an enemies to lovers Romantasy with witty banter and expert world building. Tessonja Odette did a good job of tying this story into the previous world building while expanding on what the Isle has become 24 years after the original trilogy. I am obsessed.

This book was cute, albeit too cute. I had a very hard time believing the "rivalry" part of the dynamic. Overall, it was a solid book, but doesn't stand out for me in the genre.
