cozy fantasy romcom is a genre I didn’t know I needed. I love having all the beats of a romcom but set in a fantasy world. edwina is a little human weirdo and william is your typical broody fae male and I had a lot of fun.
I will say sometimes it felt like the author made edwina really unlikable and I can’t tell if it was on purpose. I know sometimes that’s the point, but in a book like this one I don’t see the use of making it seem like you dislike your own main character??

Your standard “rivals/enemies to lovers” plot. I enjoyed their banter and the shapeshifter element. The smut was smutting but it in no way overwhelmed the plot. Edwina was such a refreshing and lovable FMC. I laughed every time someone “lost her.” I’ll def be reading the next book when I need another palate cleanser!
This book was everything to me. It was basically Emily Wilde-esque but with smut. I loved the dynamic, I loved the writing, I want to read everything by this author.
