Book: It Could Be Anyone

This book was a very fast read! It is a murder mystery whodunnit that is written in multiple POVs. It can get a little confusing at first with all of the back and forth of the characters, but this book had me hooked from the beginning! There are many twists and turns that make you think you've got it figured out, but you don't actually find out until the very end.
Synopsis: Five college friends travel from New York to Miami for their friend Fiona's wedding. All of Fiona's friends agreed to be bridesmaids and groomsmen even though no one supports the marriage or likes the groom, Trevor.
So why did they all agree if they don't like him?
Trevor is a manipulative snake and is blackmailing all of Fiona's friends with secrets from their past. If they don't agree to be part of the wedding and convince Fiona that he's the perfect guy, he will share their secrets with everyone.
When Trevor ends up dead at his own wedding from an allergic reaction, the question is, which friend killed him?

This murder mystery novel starts out strong with the murder occurring in the first chapter. From there, I stayed hooked through the entire book. I could not put it down! I absolutely loved this book and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Five best friends leave New York to attend their friend Fiona's destination wedding in Miami. By outward appearances, they are all happy and excited for the wedding. In reality, each of them has a motive for wanting the groom-to-be, Trevor, dead.
Trevor wormed his way into the friend group by gathering blackmail material on all of them, and at his insistence, all the friends must be supportive of his impending marriage to Fiona and convince her to go through with the wedding, despite their short courtship. When Trevor dies as the result of an allergic reaction at the wedding, readers are left wondering: in a room full of people with motives, who's guilty?
I thoroughly enjoyed this fast-paced thriller. We get POV chapters from all the friends in the group, and while sometimes that can get messy with more than 2-3 characters, I was never confused about who was who. Kudos to Jaime Lynn Hendricks for pulling that off so well. I also loved that there were so many mysteries within the ultimate mystery. It kept me turning pages quickly, as I couldn't wait to know what dirt Trevor had on everyone.
Without giving any spoilers, let's just say I'm thrilled (pun intended) that I'm not part of this friend group.

I read this in a day - couldn’t stop turning the pages. It hooked me from the first few pages where the main antagonist dies and you know someone in your cast of characters did it. But why?
And then we learn all of the back story. Everyone had motive. Everyone had opportunity. But who followed through?
Another awesome book from Hendricks. I really liked her first novel, Finding Tessa, but this one shows she has definitely elevated her game as she kept me on my toes the whole time. Let’s just say - I didn’t see it coming.

This US author new is new to me. It’s a domestic thriller, it’s got a mystery element, and a psychological element too.
Trevor Vaughan flew to Miami with 5 of his best friends for his wedding to Fiona. He dies of anaphylactic shock (peanuts) on the dance floor, the wedding day, with his epipen mysteriously not in its usual place in Fiona’s bag.
Only it would appear that these ‘friends’ don’t even like Trevor, each have their own reason for wanting him dead. As he has been manipulating them with threats of disclosing their secrets. He would seem to be a narcissistic sociopath.
So the mystery begins of whodunit.
There are a lot of guests names and POV so I made a list to keep track.
We aren’t given a chance to get used to the characters involved at the wedding before we start getting other unconnected friends and family names thrown into the mix too.
With their secrets non of the friends come across as likeable, Dutch does superficially with his good deeds.
We are taunted with the secrets constantly, but when finally revealed I was underwhelmed.
It’s also a story about the power of friendship and whether you put your own needs above those of your friends, and the consequences of both the selfless and selfish route. I did feel sorry for Fiona.
Unfortunately this story failed to engage me at any stage.

This book was a whirlwind that I couldn’t put down.
It starts off with the groom being murdered at his wedding and the rest of the book introduces a close group of friends and the bride’s family members that lead the reader to believe the groom’s murder could have been achieved by any of them.
It’s a fast paced tale of friendship, love, betrayal, and leaves the reader questioning who did it up until the very end.

It’s Fiona’s wedding weekend, and everyone is dreading it. Well except for Trevor who has something on all of her best friends that he is holding over their heads, and Fiona who knows nothing of Trevor’s blackmail. When the groom drops dead on the dance floor, everyone wonders who did it.
Finding Tessa was a favorite of mine last year, so when I got this one it immediately moved to the front of my tbr! I have to say Jaime Lynn Hendricks did not disappoint with this sophomore novel! From the prologue I was instantly drawn in and needed to know more about this Trevor guy and why the entire group of friends loved (but actually hated) him so much! I will say the friend group was kind of big so I forgot the back story of what Trevor had on some of them at times, but honestly that didn’t take away from the story at all for me. I loved the blackmail aspect of this book and trying to figure out who was the one to actually kill Trevor.
