This was my first read of 2023, and it was so riveting! Just when you think you've figured it out, a twist occurs out of nowhere. This book was aptly titled, because . . . It really COULD be anyone.
Fun mystery, decent twists and a blend of characters (some you root for, some you don't). An enjoyable story!!

I'm late in posting this review but rest assured it is not from a lack of love. This book had me on the edge of my seat from the first page. The tragic death of the groom was a nice set up, before revealing that each member of the wedding party had a motive for his death. I really enjoyed the multiple POVs and different timelines, providing more depth to the relationships of the group. It definitely took some getting used to since there were so many characters to learn about, but it made for a fully fleshed out cast of devious suspects. The pace was on the faster side which I love, and the misdirection was executed perfectly.
An awesome thriller from one of my new favorite authors!

I'm late in posting this review but rest assured it is not from a lack of love. This book had me on the edge of my seat from the first page. This one had me in the first half. Love a book with so many potential murderers right out of the gate. But I got bored and it got redundant towards the end

Oooh, It Could Be Anyone gives us the best kind of story- a protagonist we love to hate, and five people set on revenge for his cold-hearted blackmail. All set in a wedding venue in Miami, in the midst of a heatwave, which doesn't help anyone's temperament. I love how Jaime Lynn Hendricks managed to put together a complex plot while keeping all the characters true to their voice. At first, I was disappointed, thinking the author had given us the killer up front, but nah, she's way too clever for that!
And I have so many questions! How did Trevor find out everyone's secret? How does everyone do life after the wedding (after the secrets)? Does Fiona find out what a rat Trevor was? Does Roger come back into the fold? Do the police investigate the members of the wedding party further? Any one of these answers could be a sequel, hint, hint Jaime Lyn! This was one of those books you never want to end!

This book had a lot of secrets and drama. And a truly vile villain. Like when that tiktok says what was the reason??? That’s my response to this dude. I don’t get why he was so nasty. But he was. Anyways. All these friends have secrets on top of secrets and just when you think you know them all a few more bombs drop. Twisty read!
Some parts were a little repetitive with each persons perspective leading into the black mail. But i liked getting to know these characters and all their flaws
