First, I want to thank NetGalley for an ARC of this book. It was on my 2022 Must Read List. Unfortunately, I REALLY wanted to love this book but it took me forever to get into it. When I finally decided to hyperfocus and finish it, I absolutely hated the ending. I though it would've been a great twist if Fiona was the one who poisoned him.
Review- It Could Be Anyone
By Jaime Lynn Hendricks
Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
What could be more fun than a destination wedding with your closest college friends? The better question is how miserable could it be??? In Miami for a fun filled wedding weekend, Allie, Emma, Ethan, Dutch & Vee are about to find out just that. They are all being blackmailed by their best friend Fiona’s fiancé Trevor. Fiona is having second thoughts about Trevor & he has to do something to seal the deal… she must marry him. The only way for this to happen is if Trevor convinces her closest friends that he is HER PERFECT choice. Easier said then done… without a little persuasion but when the groom dies on their wedding night who is the murderer? Anyone could be! Trevor has & is holding secrets about each one of them. How far will he go to get Fiona?
What follows is a fast paced domestic thriller that will keep you reading until the very end. The book is so well written. I loved the alternating chapters of past & present along with the complex characters constantly evolving… always revealing just a bit more. Lots of twists & turns happen along the way too! Just when you think you have it figured out… along comes another twist.
Highly recommended for those who enjoy a suspenseful thriller. Thank you #NetGalley, #jaimelynnhendricksauthor, #ItCouldBeAnyone & Penzler Publishers for the opportunity to read this ARC. My review is strictly voluntary.

This book kept me constantly questioning things and asking myself who the heck did it!? I must say, I did NOT see the ending coming, I was pegging the wrong person all along.
It Could Be Anyone by Jaime Lynn Hendricks
Oh, this book was so good you guys!
Short Description:
Trevor Vaughn, the groom in question, wooed his bride-to-be by first becoming close with her friends—which is to say that he learned all of the five’s darkest, most dangerous secrets and blackmailed them into convincing Fiona to say “I do.” The friends were forced to convince a doubting Fiona to go through with the wedding, no matter what, and now the charade is set to continue to the altar...
Save the date for May 10, 2022. You're all invited to the shadiest wedding, ever!
When reading you can expect nobody to be who they say they are. An entire wedding party of close friends...There are several POVs in this one but don't let that overwhelm you. I never had any issue with keeping track of names and relationships.
The groom to be, Trevor is unlikeable and for GOOD reason. The author did an amazing job at making me instantly hate him yet, I couldn't stop turning the pages to know what this dude's deal was! He was a real peach.
This is a fast-paced thriller you will have trouble putting down. I enjoyed the ride it took me on. I'm also glad no weddings are coming up over on my end!
Many thanks to @netgalley @penzlerpub / @scarletsuspense @jaimelynnhendricksauthor for allowing me to read early!

The groom is lying dead on the floor at the reception but who poisoned him?
Fiona is getting married to Trevor, and her five best friends are flying to Miami to attend her wedding, each of them are part of the wedding party. Unknown to Fiona none of her friends can stand Trevor. Each of them put on the front that they love him, but why? Well beneath Trevor’s smile is a monster, he’s blackmailing each of them, he knows each of their dark secrets and if they don’t tell Fiona she should marry him, he will tell everyone their secrets. None of the friends know that each of them are being blackmailed, but they all have a motive to want him , dead so who killed him? The book bounces back and forth from before the wedding and then back to the wedding day, and we get each of the friends POV. I truly enjoyed the story and it was a quick read for me because I couldn’t put the book down!!

The characters are whiny and I just don’t care about the plot.
2.5⭐
I loved Finding Tessa by the author and was thrilled to be approved for an ARC of her sophomore novel, but it sadly missed the mark for me.
This was a quick read and relatively easy to follow despite the large cast. However, I didn't feel attached to any of the characters and the antagonist was laughably one-dimensional (which a character in the book itself actually acknowledges and mentions
